Lantech strengthens its client experience strategy with key leadership appointment

Since our founding in 2007, Lantech Managed IT has been driven by a clear purpose: to deliver tailored, end-to-end IT services that empower businesses to perform, grow, and stay secure. From our offices in Dublin and London, we support organisations across Ireland, the UK, and Europe with a full spectrum of service, from award-winning Managed Support and Security to procurement, virtualisation, and business continuity.

But at the heart of everything we do is not just technology, it is partnership.

We believe the best outcomes are built through collaboration. Whether we’re working on-site alongside your team or delivering support remotely through our Helpdesk and NOC services, our approach is always Personal, Professional, and Proactive. That’s what has enabled us to support a diverse client base spanning global pharmaceutical and technology firms, state agencies, professional services, and the sports and hospitality sectors.

Today, we’re excited to take another step forward in strengthening that client-first approach.

A strategic appointment for the future

Lantech is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark O’Connor as Commercial Manager, a move that reflects our ongoing commitment to elevating the client experience while supporting sustainable growth.

Mark will lead the development and execution of our client experience programme, working closely with both sales and account management teams. His objective is clear: ensure that every client interaction delivers meaningful value while creating a consistent and scalable path for growth.

This is more than a new role, it’s a signal of how Lantech is evolving.

We recognise that growth doesn’t come from sales activity alone. It comes from building trust, delivering consistently, and focusing on outcomes that genuinely matter to our clients.

Putting client outcomes first

For many organisations, IT can feel reactive. Something that fixes problems rather than drives progress. It can be complex, fragmented, and disconnected from broader business goals.

At Lantech, we see things differently.

We believe technology should be a strategic asset, one that enhances productivity, strengthens security, and enables long-term growth. Aligning IT with business objectives is no longer optional; it’s essential.

Mark’s role will be central to delivering on this vision. He will help align our commercial strategy around a single, powerful objective: helping clients overcome the barriers that limit their potential.

Whether that’s:

  • Improving day-to-day productivity
  • Navigating an increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape
  • Building confidence around cloud adoption

Our focus is to ensure that every engagement delivers measurable impact.

By refining how we support clients, from the very first conversation through to long-term partnership, we are creating a more consistent, valuable, and outcome-driven experience.

Experience that connects technology and growth

Mark brings a unique blend of expertise across cybersecurity and commercial strategy.

His career includes:

  • 7 years in the PSP security space with Worldnet Payments, operating in a highly demanding and security-focused environment
  • 9 years leading commercial strategy at Code Institute, one of Europe’s largest software development education providers and a Deloitte Fast 50 company from 2019 to 2022

This background gives Mark a distinctive perspective, combining a security-first mindset with a deep understanding of how businesses scale, compete, and evolve.

His focus throughout his career has remained consistent: using technology as a driver of real business value.

Building the next phase of Lantech’s growth

Mark’s appointment comes at an important stage in Lantech’s journey.

As we continue to grow, our priorities remain unchanged:

  • Attracting and supporting the right clients
  • Delivering measurable, meaningful outcomes
  • Building long-term partnerships based on trust and performance

Mark will play a key role in shaping this next phase, with a clear pathway to Commercial Director as our commercial function continues to evolve.

A word from our CEO

Peter Strahan, CEO of Lantech, shared his perspective on this important milestone:

“The expansion of this role is about raising the standard of what clients should expect from their IT partner. Mark understands that growth comes from delivering consistent value, not just services. His experience and mindset are a strong fit for where we are going as a business.”

Looking Ahead

At Lantech, we’re passionate about technology, but even more passionate about what it enables for our clients.

This appointment reinforces our belief that great IT services are not just about systems and support, they’re about outcomes, relationships, and long-term success.

We’re excited about what’s ahead.
