Hey, have you noticed? There’s a new Outlook.
Microsoft has updated its old favourite and is automatically switching you over to their new version on January 6, 2025. (Enterprise license holders won’t be moving until 2026)
A lot of users, aren’t ready for the change just yet. For now, they’d rather stick with the classic version of Outlook. They need a bit more time to update their in-house guides and familiarise users with the Copilot-assisted features and the new layout.
Don’t panic.
Even though there’s not much time to prepare, don’t worry. It’s easy enough to toggle back to the classic version of Outlook using the button at the top right in Outlook.
If you’re an IT manager you can centrally control this rollout (click here for a How to). And if you’re on a Microsoft 365 Enterprise licence, you won’t see the change until April 1, 2026.
If you’re happy to proceed …
You don’t need to take any action. The Outlook app will notify you and switch you over to the updated version automatically.
